Community Guidelines

Comments are for readers to share what they're seeing locally and to discuss the article. These guidelines apply to every comment on Florida Home Vibes, alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

How Comments Work

• You sign in with Google and choose a public display name. Your email address is never shown.
• Comments are reviewed before publication. Review times vary.
• Comments are plain text. Links are allowed, up to two per comment.
• Approved comments appear under the display name you had when you posted.

What We Welcome

• Local, first-hand experience: your county, your water source, what you're seeing.
• Questions, corrections and respectful disagreement about the article.
• Useful sources, such as an official notice from your water management district or county.

What We Don't Publish

1. Personal information about anyone, including addresses, phone numbers, emails or private details;
2. Threats, harassment, hate or personal attacks;
3. Unsupported accusations of crime or misconduct against identifiable people or businesses;
4. Advertising, self-promotion, spam or repeated posts;
5. Impersonation of another person or of Florida Home Vibes;
6. Sexual or graphic content, or anything unlawful; and
7. Comments unrelated to the article.

Comments about health, safety, crime or the conduct of a named person or business get extra care before approval. We may decline a comment that could be accurate if we can't reasonably check it.

Moderation

We may decline, hide or remove a comment, and suspend commenting for an account, when a comment breaks these guidelines. We may include a short note explaining why. Decisions are made by people, not automatically, and a report never removes a comment on its own.

Reporting a Comment

If a published comment breaks these guidelines, use the Report link under it (you'll need to be signed in). We review every report.

Your Comments and Account

To remove a comment you posted, sign in and use Delete under it. This works for comments awaiting review, published ones, and ones our moderators have hidden. A deleted comment is removed from the site right away and can't be restored. We keep a private copy for at least 90 days. Its text is erased in the first daily clean-up after 90 days have passed and no report about it is still under review. To delete your comment account, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with. You can change your display name once every 30 days.
